DevFest San Francisco 2016

DevFest is an annual community-run event that has speaker sessions, code labs and more. Its been more than 4 years since GDG (Google Developers Group) of San Fransico has hosted DevFest. This year is different, we decided to hosted DevFest with only a few weeks of planning time. Go big or go home!The event was amazing! We were at the Newly Renovated Google Launchpad Accelerator Space at 301 Howard St., San Francisco. We had the whole floor to ourselves. The event start with breakfast and coffee while the over 150 attendees registered and settled in.dsc03641At 9:30 the event started with the DevFest Organizers, James Cha and myself, providing the welcoming which included our Code of Conduct, logistics and then we had our key note speakers, Joel Burton, who shared his thought on how this community can take action to increase inclusiveness in tech.[gallery ids="6021,6022,6025,6024,6023" type="rectangular"]The day was a "Choose Your Adventure" with 3 speaker tracks and a Firebase Code Lab as well as stations for Google Earth, Google Big Query and Google Cloud Spin:schThe morning's events:[gallery ids="6036,6037,6044,6038,6039,6041,6043,6045,6046,6042,6047" type="rectangular"]Lunch Time:[gallery ids="6053,6051,6052,6054,6057" type="rectangular"] After lunch events:[gallery ids="6067,6062,6063,6065,6064,6066,6068,6070,6071,6072,6074,6075,6076,6077,6078,6079,6082,6084,6092" type="rectangular"]

The event closed with James and Jessica sharing thanks yous to the attendees, sponsors, volunteers and organizers.
