Teacher, Mentor and Friend: Joel Burton

 This is a public letter to my teacher, mentor and friend Joel Burton.Joel,You have made such an impact on me. It is not only the education and insight that you have shared, but the fact that you saw something in me and valued it. Your ability and compassion is incredible. Thank you Joel. Thank you for being my teacher. Thank you for being my boss. Thank you for being my friend. It has been an honor to have spent the past year with you at Hackbright.  I know that this isn't the end, but I wanted to make sure you knew that you are an important person in my life. Your energy and time spent on mentoring me has change my life course and me as a person.Thank you.
